The dream has become the reality. All that planning, preparation and saving and finally our trip is underway. After a brief stop in Los Angeles, I travelled to Vancouver, a cosmopolitan city with a great vibe. Surrounded by water, it’s easy to navigate and a very pretty and clean city. Here I met my online friend Kas after 14 years for the first time. Our meeting in real life was all that i imagined and we spent some special quality time together. We hired and rode bikes around Stanley Park. Walked and talked and enjoyed the districts of Gastown and Yaletown and the fabulous shopping in Vancouver. We also spent a day in Whistler. The gondola (cable car) ride between mountains was like nothing I have ever experienced before. The weather was kind with spectacular views and I was sorry to be only able to spend a day there.
Next stop Seattle and joining 2 of the foxy ladies Bernie & Claire. It was lovely to see my brother in law Dave again who lives there. We had a great seafood dinner at Ray’s and drinking cocktails with the locals. On Sunday, Bernie and I ran the Fremont fun run. We dressed up as silver foxy ladies and ran a fair race. After a big night the night before it was lucky we didn’t run last. It wasn’t about the run, but the journey and experience.
All aboard the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship heading to Alaska and that’s where we are now. 3 of the foxy ladies staying in the heaven, sorry haven (goggle to see what i mean). We have a butler, concierge and staff allocated just to us. It’s hard to remember we are not supposed to do anything but eat, relax, be pampered and have fun. It’s all about us and what we want and for now we are living the dream. Stay tuned for our next stop in Juneau, Alaska.
